I just have to share this story...Scott may kill me for doing it, but I thought it was sweet, so I'm sharing anyway.
Early Sunday morning Scott got out of bed to...well...um...potty. When he came back to bed, it woke me up, so I snuggled in behind him with my perfectly petite belly pushing into his back. (Anyone who has seen me is laughing hysterically over the perfectly petite belly comment.) I stayed there for a few minutes, but my movement woke up Baby O, and then I was awake. I rolled back onto my side of the bed and eventually went back to sleep. When we got up a little bit later, Scott said, "I don't know how you get any sleep." I figured it out that he could feel Baby O kicking when I snuggled into him. Now, this is a sweet event because anyone who knows my husband knows that he does not enjoy feeling Baby O moving around in my belly. He says it reminds him of a scene from the movie Aliens. I don't know the particular scene, but I prefer not to think of my son as an alien. I could sit around for hours watching and feeling Baby O kick, but I don't force it on Scott. I guess I should just get used to the little quirks of boys. :-) I am just grateful that he laid there and possibly even enjoyed it, instead of jumping out of bed screaming.
