Random thoughts from behind Carla's camera

I'm trying to catch up on the blog.  I've come across some really great pictures that I just have to share.

As you can see, it is hard to be Maisy.  :)  She is one of the greatest blessings of my life.  When I'm happy, sad, tired, playful, she can open up a new level of happiness.  She loves me without question and she loves me with all of her being all of the time.  :)

Homemade pancakes for breakfast.  Clearly, they are as fun as they are irresistible.

In other news, we have new windows!  They look amazing.  This was a photo of the work in progress.  I wasn't feeling too confident when I took this picture to text to Scott.  We weathered our first storm with wind last night - we didn't even hear it in the house!  It was amazing.  I can also tell a difference in the temperature control upstairs.  I am interested to see the impact this has on our power bill!

The weather last weekend was beautiful!  Scott and I found ourselves without children, so we took off on the Harley for a ride.  I'm the queen of selfies when it comes to taking pictures of the two of us.

On May 8th, Scott and I attended Leadercast 2015 together.  I went in 2014 and loved it.  This year was no disappointment.  The 2014 theme was "A Leader Worth Following".  The 2015 theme was "The Brave Ones".   We heard from speakers including Peyton Manning, Rudy Giuliani, Aja Brown, Rorke Denver, Andy Stanley, and Malala Yousafzai, among others.  It was a powerful day and challenges you to think about leadership in general - how you lead in the workplace, how you lead in family life, and how you lead in the community.  I always come away feeling changed in some way.
And, the obligatory selfie from Leadercast 2015.  :)

I have much more to share.  Including our first cookout of 2015, more on baseball, and our first trip to Gary and Debbie's new house to play in the pool.
