The soccer club we are heavily involved with competed in the spring tournament in Blacksburg, Virginia. 11 teams attended the tournament and six of those teams were undefeated and brought home championships. The Board of Directors (which I am a part of) was discussing getting something in the newspaper, so I tried my hand at writing up something. I sent it to the Johnson City Press. The next day, it was in the newspaper. It was edited for length - the original article was much longer and offered more detail. It also doesn't list me as the author. It simply says "Contributed", but I know those are my words.
I have published my first article. I was pretty excited about it. I tried to find it online so I could post a link to it, but I wasn't successful. The picture will have to do. 😀
