Brody checked out beautifully. Here are his stats:
Length: 29 3/4 inches (25th percentile - shorty)
Weight: 21 lbs, 12 oz (50th percentile - skinny)
Head: 51 cm (still beyond the chart)
Yes, you read that correctly, his head is 51 cm. This is huge news, because it means Brody's head is shrinking! In November, when we had the drama of the CT, his head was 51 and 3/4 cm. Ugh. Anyway, it appears the closure of his anterior fontanel is pulling his little (big) head in a bit.
Developmentally, he is, of course, right on target. Like you really thought he would be anything less. :-)
He suffered the wrath of the 'little' nurse. (For those of you not versed in nurse speak, 'little' nurse means you do not think he/she is a very good nurse. It has absolutely nothing to do with the actual size of the nurse. Additionally, any nurse or family member of a nurse or close friend of a nurse will never, ever have a nurse that is good. A little unwritten rule of nursing for ya.) She pricked his little toe for a iron and lead check. Then she marched back in with f-o-u-r shots. Ya'll already know my opinion on baby shots, so I'll spare you the drama this time.
After a long wait at the pediatrician's office, we were all starving. We went up the road to dine on some Chick-fil-a. Yummy! This is only significant because after lunch, the boys played on the playground. (It was indoor.) Brayden and Brody. Both of them. Playground. Yep. Cute as ever. This was Brody's first adventure on a playground without one of Mom's hands affixed to him. I let him wander and play in the 'toddler land'. He had a super time. Being the dork I am with my camera in my purse, I captured a few shots for you. Toddler land....I guess he is a toddler now, huh?
