~~The Brayden Update~~
He has decided he doesn't want to ride the bus anymore. I am not sure what is going on there,but we've gone back to plan A - Mom and Brody picking him up. This is fine with me. I have discovered it doesn't matter one way or the other....but when I pick him up we get to celebrate his successes of the day immediately after school. I love that.
Brayden is signed up to play baseball again. I am expecting a call from the coach any day. Be on the lookout for the baseball schedule! :-) And, of course, (pending software installation) baseball pictures. Maybe this season, I can manage to get some video up here.
One last item of interest on Brayden - he has decided he wants to grow his hair long. He says he wants to be able to shake his hair when he moves his head. I simply cannot do this story justice by telling it here. I have decided this is not a battle I am going to fight. There are far more important things for me to worry about than the length of Brayden's hair. Besides, he'll probably change his mind soon. He told Nan tonight, "I'm gonna have to get a hair cut, it's itching me." :-)
**The Brody Update**
This child cracks me up. His personality is really starting to show. He reminds me so much of Brayden when he was small.....very sweet, flirts with anyone (as long as they are not trying to remove him from his mother), smiles, squeals, and giggles A LOT. He is also a human vacuum cleaner - the child will eat anything. He loves food, which is a new phenomenon in our house. (His older brother won't eat anything.) I will share a funny Brody moment:
We have an adorable kid table in the playroom complete with four adorable chairs. Climber and conqueror Brody decided it was a good idea to climb into the chair and up on the table, where he proceeded to clap his hands and giggle with glee. While this was understandably super cute, Mommy decided it was also dangerous. After several attempts to change Brody's direction, I took the table down. I lined the folded chairs up against the wall next to the baby gate. Brody quickly discovered a new game: Knock chairs over one-by-one followed by the phrase "Uh-oh" after each chair hits the floor. This was hilarious. "Uh-oh" is one of his favorite phrases.
Brody has also taken an interest in biting. This bothers me because I am usually the lucky winner of Brody bites. I don't know if he is doing it because he is cutting teeth or what, but if anybody has advice on this matter, I'd love to hear it.
On the flip side of that coin, Brody has also started giving 'kisses'. He prefers the open-mouthed-slobber-filled variety, but it is still the sweetest thing on earth. Mommy LOVES Brody kisses. :-)
++The Scott Update++
Scott is currently snoozing away...I can tell by the gentle snore coming from his side of the bed. :-) (He'll love that I am writing that on the blog.) The only real update I have here is the update on him and his love affair with the jeep. Things have been a bit rocky in the garage lately. Something about a broken bolt head or something. I think he broke it off in the engine, which I can't imagine is good for it. He is trying to get it loose, but hasn't had much luck so far. I'm not sure what his plan is, but he came in from the garage the other night in a good mood, which hasn't happened in the recent past. :-)
Other than the Jeep and complaining about my lack of recent posts, I think that about covers it for dear ol' Dad.
^^The Carla Update^^
I wish I had some totally exciting news to report. Not much has changed with me either. I have been working some extra shifts at the hospital, which has included some 7 p to midnight shifts. I really don't mind being there at night. It is quite different from days. I love what I do, so it makes it ok no matter what time of day. :-)
I have started as a Pampered Chef consultant. I had a show at our house at the beginning of February. It was a lot of fun. I decided it was time to get out of the house and do something for 'fun'....and maybe meet some people...make some friends.... If it works out, super. If it doesn't, I got some really cool kitchen stuff. :-)
So that's the evening report from here. Tomorrow is a work day for Carla, so I better hop in to bed and off to see the sandman. I would normally use this opportunity to promise to be better about posting...and to get some pictures up...but ya'll have heard it before. Maybe if I quit promising, it will happen. You'll have to check back to find out. :-)
Oh, yeah....I almost forgot....Happy Birthday Grammy! :-)
Have a splendid weekend!

I've been playing with the idea of doing Pampered Chef. I'll have to get your thoughts after you've done a few parties. :)
