A Less Sappy Birthday Post

I'll admit the last birthday post for Scott's birthday was a bit sappy. So I am going to make up for that with a fun birthday post and an update on the Orsburns.

We celebrated Scott's birthday with some Greg's Pizza. If you know anything about Johnson City, you know that Greg's Pizza is the best. If you haven't had it, get some the next time you're here! :-) Keithy and Becca came over to the house and ate with us. We also had cheesecake (Scott's favorite) and cupcakes (for those of us not so inclined to cheesecake). Scott now has more Jeep parts than he knows what to do with! I don't know why I purposely buy him things that I know are going to land him in the garage. :-)

Here are a few pictures from the birthday!

Brayden and Brody made Dad a HUGE Happy Birthday sign!

Scott loves his Jeep and all parts associated with it!

In other news, we closed on our house on Friday! It is really amazing to me how the entire event has worked out. We received an offer on our house on Scott's last day in Nashville...meaning we no longer needed it...and it was sold! It also happened to be at a time when I was there and could sign the initial paperwork. The buyers wanted a quick closing, so we closed two weeks from their offer date! It has all seemed to happen really fast - despite the THREE moving trucks it took to get us completely moved. All of that is over now, and we are finally ready to get on with things.

On a totally unrelated note, I have to share a couple of funny pictures of my little Brody. He is Mommy's little helper. Last week, I was unloading the dishwasher. Our exchange went something like this:

Brody: Opening the drawer, "Towe. I wan towe."

Mommy: "You want a towel?" I said because when I don't know what to say, I generally repeat what he just said to me.

Brody: "Yea." He reached into the drawer and got himself a towel. He then went over to the open dishwasher and started unloading with me. By unloading, I truly mean unloading. He took out a fork, dried it with his towel, and took it to the drawer. Then back to the dishwasher to repeat the process. He is so smart! :-) Here's a couple of pictures I snapped to prove he really was helping.

Okay, maybe in that last picture he's not really helping. He's Mommy's little monkey. You never know where you might find Brody.
