Baseball Bash

We made it to the end of baseball season! A few weeks ago, Brayden's team, the Pirates, had their end of the season pool party. Brayden picked up another trophy! Behold, Brayden and his new trophy!

The boys had a pool/pizza/cupcake party. The kids swam and played. The adults chatted and watched from the shade. :-) It was hot, what can I say? The coach did an amazing job of making each player feel ultra special. He gave a little speech about every player. I took a video of the speech he gave about Brayden. (I will insert here my extreme frustration with Blogger that I cannot upload said video. Grrr.) Brayden did almost all of the catching except one inning and the games while we were on vacation. To say he was tired of it is an understatement. I have to say, though, he did an amazing job. I could tell such a difference in him from the beginning of the season to the end. Our Brayden is quite the little athlete. :-) He has one proud Momma.
I did venture out of the shade long enough to get a picture of the trophy table and the Pirates flag. Pretty impressive, I thought.

Scott received a plaque too for all of his hard work as a coach. All of the parents signed a homemade card for the coaches. I love those personal messages to Scott. Of course, I signed it from Brayden and I. I know coaching makes Scott a bit crazy, but I love that he is so involved with our boys. I couldn't ask for more. He is supportive and it shows.

Brayden made the All Star team, but things never seemed to work out for our team. We were missing too many kids, the coach was out of town, the weather didn't cooperate...it seemed like there was always an issue. We never got to play an entire game. It was disappointing for Scott and I because Brayden really wanted to play on the All Stars, but Brayden didn't seem to mind things didn't work out. He was so proud of himself for even making the team. I've already said it, but he has one proud Momma (and Daddy too!)

You should be proud of both of your boys. :) Have you tried to upload the video onto vimeo and embedding it? I've had better luck with that.
