New Teacher Training

Ha ha ha!  I am learning.  This picture defines life as a teacher after a break.  I don't wanna go!  :)

The students returned to school the first full week in January.  I went to Nashville for new teacher training and called this room home for a week.

I wasn't thrilled about having to go to Nashville by myself.  I procrastinated packing, picking up my rental car, and leaving.  I arrived in Nashville on Sunday evening around 8.  Between Christmas and January 3, winter arrived.  It was freezing!  When I arrived on Sunday, I vowed to stay put until it was time to go home on Friday.  (My training was held at the hotel where I was staying.)

On Monday night, after my workout, I came back to my room and changed.  I was so surprised when my phone rang that I had a facetime call.  I answered the call and this is what I saw!  My three boys!  I am so glad I snapped this screen shot, because the picture brings back a flood of happy memory.  They missed me!  ;)

We ended up talking via facetime each evening.  I also learned quickly that room service is the way to go for dinner.  :)

I started to go a little stir crazy at the hotel and by Tuesday afternoon, I was ready to go out.  Lucky for me, Opry Mills Mall was close and I took full advantage of finishing training at 4:00 pm to do some shopping.

Wednesday evening found me headed down to Cool Springs to meet Karen and the Singleton family for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.  It was quite a treat to get to spend some time with them.

I certainly do not want to travel for work all the time, but it sure was fun to do it this once.  :)
