I'm here...

This is the third time today I have found my cozy spot in front of the computer to do some blogging. As you can tell, I have been unsuccessful. But, I'm here now, and that's what is important.

We had a huge weekend at the Orsburn house. Nan and Uncle Keith arrived on Friday. The entire clan went out to dinner, it poured the rain, and then Nan, Keithy, and I went out to do some last minute birthday party/birthday present shopping. Yes, I, mother of Brayden, did not have any birthday presents for him. I know, I know. It was last minute that we decided to do presents at his party. His actual birthday isn't until Friday, the 18th. We will celebrate again on Friday....only on a much smaller scale.

The birthday party was Saturday at 11 o'clock. I am not sure how Brayden's birthday parties always end up so big, but there were 25 people there....11 kids, 14 adults. We have the most awesome family on Earth - Nan, Pap, Uncle Keith, Grandma, Bo-Bo, Grammy, Aunt Carrie, and Uncle Chris all made it to the party. All of Brayden's buddies from the neighborhood where there, and his best buddy from school. The party was at Say Cheese, which is kinda like Chuck E Cheese. The big hit of the party was the pinata. Brayden requested a pinata at the last minute, and I thought it sounded like fun. The party theme was Spiderman, but I was unable to locate a Spiderman pinata at the last minute, so SpongeBob stood in for him. It was lots of fun. I think Brayden had fun, and that is all I really wanted anyway.

Brayden had a baseball game Saturday afternoon. He is learning so much. It is amazing to see how much better all of the players are. Scott thought we might have won this one....who knows.

After the game, we came home and all ended up outside. We live in a great neighborhood. There are lots of kids....and all of us parents seem to like each other too. I was so glad to see warmer weather arrive, because I knew we would be spending more time playing outside with friends. I am posting the pictures of the boys playing football in the road (no tackling allowed). Good thing we live in the back of the subdivision so there isn't as much traffic back here. :-)
Sunday was, of course, Mothers Day. We had a great day hanging out with family. My boys got me a beautiful Mothers ring. It fits perfectly. Brayden asked me about it today. I told him each stone represented each one of my boys....Red for Brody, Blue for Daddy, and Green for Brayden. He wanted to know where the stone was for Tigger, the cat.....ummmm....well....just for my human boys, Brayden.
I truly hope that all of the Mothers reading my blog had a wonderful Mothers Day. There is nothing greater in this world than to be called "Mom"....and there is no harder job or bigger shoes to fill than those of a Mom. So to all of you who answer to the name Mom - I praise and rejoice in you - you are all amazing women. Happy Mothers Day!
