Carla had to work on Saturday. Oh joy. Just kidding....it actually wasn't bad. Those are just long days when you're not used to 12.5 hours at a time....on your feet....without peeing, or eating....hee hee.
Brody continues to battle illness. He got all better from his fever. But, Friday night, he started getting sick again. He kinda scared me a little. Around 11 pm, I was up with him and thought he sounded congested, so I turned on the humidifier. At 1 AM, I was back in his room (which would more properly be called a sauna at this point), and he seemed to be really struggling to move air. Of course, at 1 o'clock in the morning, I wasn't thinking too clearly. I took off for our bedroom and announced loudly upon arrival that Brody was having a hard time breathing. (Poor Scott....sometimes I wonder why he puts up with a woman that keeps him a nervous wreck. :-)) Brody was congested, but wasn't actually struggling to breathe. By this time, he was peacefully sleeping on my chest. We decided he would be better off sleeping in the swing (which is in our room) so he could be propped up (and close to his crazy nervous Momma). The short of it: he has a cold, he sounds like a seal when he coughs, and his chatter sounds like he has laryngitis. I called the MD today to get him something to calm the cough.
Brayden had a super weekend. Friday night, he got to camp out in the playroom. He got a smiley on his behavior calendar at school on Friday, so he got to set up his tent and roll out the sleeping bag for a camp out. It was so adorable. He even got out his wooden blocks, picked out all of the red ones, and arranged them in a circular pile in front of his tent. He called the pile his campfire. :-)
Scott, who spent Saturday taking care of sick Brody and not-sick Brayden alone, has but one request: 5 minutes of complete silence.
Last but not least, here are a few random pictures from the past week.
Silly Momma, don't take pictures of sleeping baby....lay down and sleep with baby!
This Mommy sandwich is brought to you by Brayden...
