The Bust

Funny Brayden story of the day:

Setting: We are in the pick up line at school. Brayden has just entered the car. We are going over his day.

BUMP!

Yep, the car behind me has just made contact with my rear bumper. Oops. I get out to check the car to make sure nothing happened. The lady behind me did not get out of her car....but she has her window down and is apologizing profusely.

This really made me angry. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone is just not paying attention. I know you're thinking I must be really uptight....maybe I am. BUT, there could have been a child sandwiched between the back bumper of my SUV and the front bumper of her SUV. I shudder to think of what might have happened. All because she wasn't paying attention. But I digress...I am stepping off my soap box now.

The next morning, Brayden I are talking. I asked him, "Did you tell Daddy that someone hit our car at school?"

Brayden's reply, "Yep. But it's okay, I checked it. You didn't get a bust."

I LOVE kindergarten speak. :-)
