The computer is back!

Hello to all of my fellow bloggers and friends from my very own computer in our new house in Johnson City. The computer arrived on Friday night with....SCOTT!

It was so wonderful to see him pull into the driveway. I walked to the car and met him as he was getting out. I simply could not wait another moment to wrap my arms around him. I barely let him out of the car (I'm not sure he was fully upright) before I was attacking him in the biggest hug. I know it is exhausting for him to drive in from Nashville, so I told him last night that I would totally understand if he didn't want to come every single weekend. Here, though, I am not afraid to admit I am not ready to deal with the sadness and missing him that my heart feels when he is not here.

We have had a pretty good week. The boys and I visited the playground twice. We went to Nan's house a couple of times. We visited with Uncle Keithy. Adam also came over and was the perfect stand-in husband that helped me accomplish all the tasks I was piling up for Scott to do when he arrived. :-) Brayden also played golf with Uncle Keith. Apparently, Brayden is quite the little golfer. We went for a walk, rode bikes, and basically tried to adjust to these new surroundings.

We didn't have cable until Thursday. I was not affected by this at all, but Brayden really missed his daily dose of SpongeBob. I spent my evenings (after the boys went to bed) reading. I just finished reading How to Be Lost by Amanda Eyre Ward. If you're a reader, I definitely recommend it. I read the entire book in less than 24 hours. :-) I am also taking suggestions on some of your favorite books.

Friday morning, Brayden and I went to the Newcomers Event at his new school. I was glad to have the opportunity to look around and find out about some of the routines there. His first day is Thursday. I think he is excited about going to a new school. I am excited about the routine it will bring to our house.

Friday evening, Nan and I took the boys to the First Friday event in downtown Johnson City. The Hands On museum was having an event for the kids that included live farm animals and farm equipment. I took a few pictures and will post them when I locate the USB cable for my camera. Maybe one day, I'll get organized! :-)

The only books I read usually have a guy named Tiger on the cover! They come once a month, and are very intellectual. They provide education on club-head speed and new technology! GOLF DIGEST!!
