Life...resumed

We have arrived in Johnson City. After an utterly exhausting weekend of packing, loading, unloading, and unpacking, I think we are mostly settled in to our new home. We started last Friday, loading up the truck. Thankfully, our neighbor Brannon and the little brothers Keithy and Adam came to help. It didn't take long to get the truck loaded, but it was HOT. Friday started out as a rainy day and gave way to a hot and extremely muggy afternoon. Nice.

We left Nashville on Saturday morning and arrived in Johnson City around 2 pm (eastern time, which will take some getting used to for us central time folks...). I am not kidding when I tell you we had the entire truck unloaded in 45 minutes. It was hot here too and we didn't waste any time. By the time we went to bed on Saturday, we had unpacked both of the boys rooms, reassembled their furniture, and semi-put together the rest of the house. We even managed to get some pictures hung on the walls. (Thanks, Dawn!)

Scott returned to Nashville yesterday. I don't really want to talk about that. Please pray this is a short, short, short seperation. You don't realize how much you depend on someone else until you don't have them there. Part of me is missing.

So now the boys and I are just hanging out. We've been to Brayden's new school and spent some time exploring the playground. He seems pretty excited. I think we are going to buy school supplies this afternoon. I am certain we won't get everything he needs in one trip, but maybe it will get him thinking about going back to school and the schedule that will involve again.

Our new house is cute. It is smaller than my house in Nashville. I am terribly sad about leaving my house in Nashville. My emotions continue to be on the roller coaster ride, so I better start talking about something else.

I am using Nan's computer today for this post, so don't get too excited. Our computer should be delivered via Scott's Parcel Service this weekend. Maybe you'll get more regular posting then. :-) I also have some pictures, although they all have those lines from the electronics-frying-experience otherwise known as Chicago. I've gotta work on that. :-)

We'll be praying for a really short separation. I know it will be tough, but it will be worth it in the long run. Have fun making your house a home! :)

Congrats on a safe, and apparently quick, move. Here's praying you all find your new spaces (home, school, work, etc) homey before too long...
