Snow keeps fallin on my head!

I love the snow. What a peaceful and beautiful gift from Mother Nature! The white stuff has been softly and quietly falling all day long. We woke up to some snow this morning (but not enough to turn a Monday into a Snowday!) All morning long, I kept peeking out of the windows at work to watch it fall. Finally, at 4 pm, I decided I had experience enough healthcare and it was time to move on to more fun activities! I picked up Brody from school and we went to get Brayden. Brayden was out of school for the holiday, and got to spend it with Pap.

If you know my Dad, you know he loves to throw snowballs. Apparently, the junior apples have not fallen far from the tree! :-) I shot this little video of the boys playing in the snow.

This was Brody's first real opportunity to play in the snow. He has been out in the snow before, but this was his first chance to experience it and not be totally angry about being cold. :-) Brody thought the snow and the fact you could ball it up and throw it at someone was the most hilarious thing ever....he could not stop laughing (until I turned on the camera, that is.) He does manage to get in some good giggles.

Another funny story from today: Brody was propped up against the planter on Mom's front walk. The walk was a bit slick and Brody's feet started sliding. He didn't freak out (since Pap was right next to him), instead he started squealing, "stupid, stupid, stupid!" Not my favorite Brody word, but so funny that he said it right then! He is such a funny little guy.

Brayden was not left out of the fun. He got in his fair share of snowballs - both at Pap, Brody, Mom, the front door, and anything else that was between him and a fist full of snow. He built a miniature snowman in Nan and Pap's yard. After Dad got home, they bundled up and headed out to build a snowman in our front yard. I wish I had a picture, but Brody and I were snuggled up under the heated throw. (We know a good thing when we see it!) I tried to get a shot of the work in progress but apparently pictures are best taken when you are closer to the action, not hovering in the safety of the warm, dry house! Maybe I can get a picture of the finished product tomorrow.

It is still snowing a little. Tomorrow's forecast is for super cold temperatures, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Tuesday turned snowday! :-) Ya'll stay warm!

What a great video! Snow is SO great. I'm eagerly awaiting the first real snowfall around here so I can take Ian out to play when Lukas is napping :).

By the way - I seriously cannot recall the last time you posted a video, much less a video with your voice on it, however brief. Funny, but we spend so much time writing (blog comments, email) that I've never really even heard your voice, grinning. Ah the friendships in this new age ;).
