Sick Mommy

I wish I had some awesome pictures of our beautiful new house to share today. I don't. First, because I have no idea where the camera is. Second, because I wouldn't post any pictures of this incredible mess. We are still half in boxes...we have no pictures on the walls....the dining room table is still not assembled...this list could go on and on. All in good time. Moving has been rough. It has been much harder to move a mile than is was to move 300 miles.

I spent over 2 hours with the doctor yesterday. I finally went after a week of trying to battle off this illness myself. I started getting sick last Saturday. It all culminated in a chest x-ray to confirm that Carla has pneumonia. Not being one to do anything half way, I have it in both lungs. I was subject to an Albuterol breathing treatment (which made me ultra gittery), a steriod shot, and an antibiotic shot. (My right hip is still thanking me for that.) She wanted me to take a little vacation to the hospital, but I adamently refused. I promised to rest up, drink plenty of fluids, take my medicine, and stay home from work until Wednesday. I already feel a lot better than I did yesterday. Scott has been great helping with the boys. Keep your fingers crossed for a quick recovery.

Yesterday did have a bright spot, though. I got two dozen roses delivered to me at work for Valentines Day! It was a wonderful surprise and created a bright spot in an otherwise crumby day.
