Last Friday, Brayden brought Froggy home for the weekend. He was soooo excited, so that meant we were all excited. Froggy arrived in his own little backpack, complete with books and a journal we were to write our adventures in.
Friday Brayden and Froggy watched Spongebob, played legos, and played with Brody - very low key. :-)
Saturday we had lots of big adventures! Bo-Bo was in town doing a show at the Opryland Hotel. We loaded up, including Froggy, and headed over to meet up with Bo-Bo. We had fun walking through the gardens and watching the fountains. It is absolutely beautiful there. (If you come to Nashville, you've gotta see it.) After spending some time with Bo-Bo, we headed over to Opry Mills Mall. (We actually only went to two stores....both of which we entered from the outside of the mall, so I guess we didn't really *go* to the mall.) We went to Sun and Ski Sports...first off, Brayden wanted to buy a snowboard. The child has never been snowboarding, but his Daddy has one, so I guess he thinks he needs one too. We're going to take him skiing or snowboarding this winter, and we're all excited about that. Anyway, Brayden also wanted to climb the rock climbing wall they have in this store. We've done this once before and Brayden climbed up about three steps before coming back down. Saturday was different. Brayden climbed ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP! (and rang the bell.) It took him a minute to figure out the right way to hold onto the wall, but once he did, he was off. Scott and I were so excited ~ and proud. :-) Sadly, I left the camera in the car! No photos of this one, but I am certain we will get the opportunity again....very soon, if Brayden has anything to do with it.
After our adventures at the mall, we headed to Lowe's. Mostly because my husband has an obsession with going to Lowe's....but occasionally this works in my favor, so...whatever. Froggy went in with us. They didn't have the things we needed, so we decided to go to Home Depot (another favorite of Scott's.) We were almost to Home Depot, when Dad says, "Brayden, Where's Froggy?" I turned and saw the look on Brayden face and knew instantly that Froggy was not with us. We left Lowe's...but Froggy did not. Needless to say, we headed straight back to Lowe's. Froggy was located, but was banished to the car for the remainder of the trip. :-)
By Sunday, the novelty of Froggy had worn off and he spent most of the day in the floor of the playroom. Monday he returned safely to school along with his journal where I dutifully chronicled all of Froggy's adventures ~ complete with the tale from Lowe's.
