Sick Days and Homework

Brayden has been a little under the weather. Does he feel bad? I don't think so. His cough sounds terrible, though. The school said he had a fever of 101, but when I took it at home, he was 99.8. Ummm....whatever. I am certain the school nurse knows what she's doing (dripping with sarcasm, here.) Anyway, he is home with Brody and I. We've done lots of fun things - rode bikes, ran errands, gone to check on Pap's cat, dined on some BK....and of course, plenty of Nintendo.

I've been meaning to mention the Nintendo here, but can't ever remember when I sit down at the computer. The Nintendo (and I mean circa 1985 Nintendo) has brought a ton of fun to the Orsburn house. At this time, I'd like to open the floor to anyone who thinks they are better at Super Mario Brothers. :-) Hee, hee. Okay, enough of that nonsense.

Brayden had homework he was supposed to turn in today, so last night we sat down and did it. His mission: to decorate a drawing of a turkey with 'creative' stuff (meaning no markers, crayons, or anything remotely non-messy). He set to work, and we had a fun time doing it. Brayden did it all himself. I thought I would share the finished product.

The yellow things are supposed to be feathers. Other items used to decorate the above turkey: green glitter, red glitter (must be from something we did at Christmas), white rice, green beads (I have no idea), and acini de pepe pasta. :-)
