Little Chef

Brayden is really enjoying the halloween stamps Nan sent him. After getting himself all stamped up, he decided he would help cook dinner. He really likes to help in the kitchen, and usually does a good job. So, Tuesday, we had fajitas....which meant there were lots of things to cut up. I let Brayden cut up the green pepper...then the red pepper. After finishing those two tasks, I asked if he wanted to cut up the onion. He said, "Yea, hang on...I'll be right back." He ran upstairs and returned wearing his sunglasses. When I inquired why he was wearing his sunglasses, his answer was simple, "I don't want to cry when I cut the onion." He's pretty smart....

One more funny Brayden story for today:

Brayden has been nursing a store throat for a couple of days now. (Attention Grandparents: No need for alarm, no fever or other symptoms.) I have been telling him he needs to be drinking his Sunny D because it has vitamin C ~ and vitamin C will help his body make his throat better. So....this morning at the breakfast table, I am sipping on a Pepsi (my staple drink, sadly enough). Brayden looks at me and says, "Mom, does Pepsi have vitamin C in it?" I am instantly laughing out loud, "No, no vitamin C here...giggle, giggle, giggle." Brayden, not deterred from his mission, "Can I have a sip anyway?"

And I thought he didn't listen....
