He and Brayden picked me up from work at lunch and took me to Firehouse for BBQ lunch. I snapped this picture of my handsome lunch date boys...
On Friday, I was off work. Brody invited me to his class Valentine party, so I went to TA at 1:45 to join the fun.
Look at this face! I could just eat him up!
What kind of party would it be without cupcakes, fruit, pretzels, and popcorn?
They played a couple of games, but this one was the favorite, I think. They each had a straw, a heart shaped cutout, and a bowl of marshmallows. Their task was to move as many marshmallows as they could from the bowl to the heart using the straw.
And they each delivered their valentines into each others handmade valentine boxes. This was a lot of drama at our house at 10pm on Thursday night. We were putting names on Valentine cards at 10 pm...it was, well, painful. Who, oh why, am I not a planner? I will probably never learn and we will be doing the same thing this time next year.
After school, we went home and I had a special delivery...
Flowers from my boyfriend, Scott! The card said, "I'd rather be home! Love, Scott" What a fun surprise for me. I think he might like me after all. (wink!)
Friday night, Brayden had a soccer game. We wrapped his ankle up and hoped for the best. He made it through most of the game before he took a shot on the goal and twisted his ankle just right to take him down. (That's my handsome soccer player in the orange jersey and white shoes - closest to the wall. I've got to get some better pictures of him!) The team they played on Friday was really good and B's team lost, but they played hard. It is still a lot of fun to watch.
Saturday morning, Scott ran the Myrtle Beach Marathon. He said it was his best race so far. Here is a screen shot of his stats from my phone. :) He didn't send me any race selfies, so all we get is his finishing time.
Look at that pace! He is a rock star! :) I'm so proud of him.
The little Orsburn's and I celebrated Valentine's day at home. Hearts of chocolate, handmade cards, and iTunes cards...some of their favorite things.
Later on Saturday, Brody had a soccer game. His team played the Twisters, which is a team of mostly girls from Brody's school - several of them are in his class. At some point during the first half, the referee quit adding points to the Warrior's side of the scoreboard - they were so far ahead. Brody scored twice before he was taken out for rest. He spent the 2nd half playing goalie. He told me he was bored. The Twisters didn't give Brody a lot to do. :)
It is really hard to take pictures of the kids playing soccer. Here are some blurry shots of Brody moving too fast for the camera to keep up!
Goalie Brody! :)
This picture was taken before the game. Brody was kicking his ball around behind the stands. Notice his mouth. Brody is so intense, he sticks out his tongue when he is playing...even if it is just practice. :)
Valentine's day was sealed up with the surprise return of Scott on Saturday night! He was planning to return on Sunday, but they decided to come back on Saturday after the race.
