More Snow!

Last week brought a new round of snow to our little corner of the world.  We all had a snow day (or at least snow morning) on Tuesday.  Somehow, everyone ended up in bed with Mom and Dad!

One thing I have learned as we have navigated our way through this winter:  We are not good at staying home!  We went back to Uncle Keith's house for more sledding and hanging out with cousins.

Handsome Brayden

On this same day, Keith took this awesome picture of Brayden:

He sent the picture to the Johnson City Press and WJHL, the local news station.  Well...on Wednesday, this showed up in my Facebook feed from the Johnson City Press.  Mark Reynolds, local weatherman, also shared this photo on Facebook.

On Thursday, Brayden's picture showed up in the newspaper!

Also on Thursday, I learned Brayden's picture was on the WJHL newscast on Wednesday evening.  We don't usually watch WJHL, so we missed it, but I heard all about it from more than one person.  :)  So...we have our very own little celebrity in the Orsburn house!

Brayden built a snowman in our front yard during some of the snow adventures from last week.  I didn't get this picture until the next afternoon when it was starting to warm up and Mr. Snowman was melting.  As fun as I think it would be to build another snowman, I am hoping we have to wait months and months before we have another opportunity.  :)

On Thursday, we had pretty much worn out the sledding gig.  The kids were ready to do something else and SO WAS I.   We loaded up with Kevin and Gaven and headed to Wallabies, the indoor inflatable place.

Speaking of Kevin and Gaven - can I just say how much we love these two kids?  My favorite times are when these four are in the car together and the radio is on.  It is an instant sing along.  I mean, all four of them....sometimes I might sing along too, but it is much more fun for me to just listen to them.

Anyway - while we were at Wallabies, I finished my second attempt at learning to knit.  I have no idea what brought on the I-want-to-learn-to-knit thing, but I'm having so much fun doing it.  It is frustrating as I will get out, but I feel so accomplished at the end.  Below is my second finished dishcloth.  I refuse to embarrass myself by posting a picture of the first one - let's just say, this one is about 100 times better.

I think that rounds out last week with the Orsburn's.  Baseball season is in full swing (haha...swing...I crack myself up).  March is looking like a crazy month of baseball practices and soccer games.  Brody was drafted up to the kid-pitch league this year.  We are excited for him.  He will be playing for the Hooks.  Brayden will finish out his Little League career on the Cardinals.  Oh, how I love baseball season.  I can hardly wait.  :)
