I can't let today slip by without sending a shout out to all my Father-readers! :-) Happy Fathers Day to all of you....you know who you are!
We had a wonderful fathers day. We started the day handing over gifts to Scott - complete with the singing card Brayden picked out. (He spent greater than 15 minutes listening to each and every one of them in an already too crowded Hallmark aisle. I was supremely relieved when he didn't pick "Let's Get It On" or Homer Simpson.) Scott spent most of the day with his girlfriend...uh....I mean, the Jeep. He has done a super job! It now starts (without any smoke), has working brake lights, blinkers, and a working gas gauge. I am seriously impressed. It wasn't too long ago that it was nothing more than a pile of greasy metal taking up the entire garage. We also spend a couple of hours at the pool. The heat continues, but that is a different story for a different day.
Pap joined us for dinner. We grilled burgers and water. (That is only going to be funny to Scott and Pap.) I fixed corn on the cob. After dinner, we lounged around and watched the last of the US Open Golf. (I think it was the US Open. It was golf, that's all I know.)
I hope each of you had a Father's day that was as blessed as ours. :-)
