The heat continues, but today is 'supposed' to be better. I am seriously hoping we can stay below the 90 degree mark! The boys and I have been spending lots of quality time at the pool....and indoors. We are going to the park this morning....I am really hoping we don't melt while we are there.
I have a couple of things on my mind today. First, I hope you all will keep our friend Ann-Marie in your thoughts. She is going to China! She leaves today and will be gone for almost two weeks. She is going as part of a program for Principals (she is a Principal at a local elementary school.) This is a huge honor for her, and we are so excited for her. Ann-Marie, have a wonderful time!
I am also asking that you keep my childhood friend, Shannon, in your thoughts. She delivered a baby girl, Shelby at 31 weeks. Shelby was born on May 9th. She is still in the Neonatal ICU in Johnson City. She is growing, and getting stronger each day. Late last week, she had some breathing difficulties and had to be put on a ventilator. She is breathing on her own now, so I am hoping she will get to go home with her beautiful Mommy and Daddy soon. Please keep them in your prayers.
Finally, I have a little video to share with ya'll today. It is totally unrelated to any of the above. It is also not something that I normally do, so all of you grandparents can relax. I was in the midst of doing some laundry - loading and unloading. I carried the basket of clean clothes out and when I returned, this is what I found...It is a little tough to see, but I assure you, they are both in there.
