Christmas Day 2014

This will be my very last Christmas 2014 post.  I will move on after today.  Christmas just gave me so much material to blog about.  :)

Christmas morning started with Brody coming into our room and saying, "Chop Chop!"  He then turned around and went to wake his brother.  We spent the morning opening gifts, playing with our new things, cooking and eating.  It was a fun morning together as a family.

Both of the boys got eno hammocks.  They have had them set up in the backyard.  We have lots of trees, so our back yard is a great spot for them.  Once the weather warms up, I think I will try it out!

This picture of Brayden cracks me up!  He got a new bathrobe, so he tried it on right out of the box.  He didn't untie the interior ties, so it didn't wrap around him.  I actually think he looks a little like the Grinch in this picture, but that's probably not appropriate.  Haha!

Brayden really wanted Beats headphones.  Do you think he liked them?  The headphones in the picture actually had to be returned because sound only came out of one ear.  He now has silver-gray Beats.  I can promise you he enjoys them.  I cannot think of a day since Christmas that he hasn't had them on his head.

Brody got an iPad mini.  I just love that face!  :)

In true Maisy style, she was not going to be left out.  Especially if there was the potential for something to chew up in the mess.

Santa brought Scott a hiking pack.  Hiking packs are a big deal.  Now we just need to plan some hikes!  :)

I couldn't find any pictures of me.  There were a few - but Brody was clearly the photographer.  So you will just have to imagine how much fun I had opening gifts.  :)

We went to Mamaw's for Christmas day lunch.  Always good food!  By the time we finished lunch, we were stuffed.

We finished out our day at Nan and Pap's house.  We had dinner, but we had already discussed the need for something light.  Nan fixed the perfect meal - ham, biscuits, mac and cheese, deviled eggs, celery....it was a hodge podge of stuff, but it was yummy!

This post finally wraps up Christmas 2014 for blogging.  :)  Brody's birthday is in less than a week.  I'm certain there will be stories to tell.
