Brayden must be making a name for himself at school. He returned today after two days off for illness. (He is doing much better.) So, we were in the drop off line close to the end. The reading specialist was directing traffic. She motioned for me to roll my window down, and asked, "Is your child big or little?" I replied, "Kindergarten" as Brayden began rolling his window down. She started to ask me if I felt comfortable letting Brayden out at the end of the line or if I wanted to wait and move forward before letting him out....then she noticed who was in the back seat and changed her tune...."Oh! Brayden! He can walk from here! He'll be fine!" She then helped him out of the car and over to the sidewalk. She told me she had been working in Brayden's class....so she knew him. I would love to think she knows Brayden because he is the smartest kid in kindergarten....however, I believe it is probably Brayden's sparkling personality that kept him in her memory. :-)
And one more funny:
Last night Brayden made an announcement:
"When I go back to school, I'm not having a girlfriend. All they do is nag."
We were at Aunt Carrie's house....Bo-Bo was there too. As you can imagine, Brayden's annoucement was met with lots of giggles. And, of course, high fives from Dad. :-) Scott's ex-girlfriends must have been terrible. That must be where he got his experience with nagging women. :-)
