Weekend round up...

Today's post covers the weekend. Kindergarten posting will occur later today. Stay tuned. But first a moment of comedy from our sponsor, Brayden.

Mommy: in attempt to tell a joke..."Knock, Knock."
Brayden: silence
Mommy: "Knock, Knock."
Brayden: silence
Mommy: "KNOCK, KNOCK." (I'm nothing if not persistent.)
Brayden: "Mom, I'm not answering the door."

The above conversation took place in the car on our way home from Johnson City yesterday. We made yet another trip east...this time for Kathleen's wedding. It was beautiful. She was beautiful, and soooooo happy.

Brayden helped me pack for our trip....

Anyway....the wedding was nice....long....but nice. The reception was fun. I know I am biased, but my favorite part of the reception was when Brayden asked me to dance with him! We went over to the dance floor and boogied! It was a lot of fun and he's still talking about it. If we needed further proof he is my child, we've found it. He was the little social butterfly at the reception. :-) And of course, we are both related to Mamaw! Hee hee.

Our weekend was jam packed! We breezed into JC Friday evening...just in time for the rehearsal and dinner. Saturday was full of wedding stuff until we danced blisters on our little feet. We left Sunday morning to make the trek back to Nashville. Under normal circumstances, this would have been perfect, but we had to stop to pick up a trailer at Bo-Bo and Grandma's house in Gatlinburg. This added approx 2 hours to our trip. (And we stopped at Burger King for some fine travelin' cuisine. Grinning.) In all, it took us 7 hours to get home. 7 long hours.

And finally, one last comedy break:

Mom has already remarked we look like a bunch of rednecks, driving a truck and pulling Bo-Bo's old rusty trailer....we were on our way to the truck after eating. Scott was carrying Brody's diaper bag.

Dad: "Brayden, Mom loves rednecks, see....you're wearing camouflage shorts, I'm wearing camouflage shorts, and we're driving a truck with a trailer."

Mom: "But I've got you carrying a Vera Bradley!" :-)

Dad: "Touche."
