The last one...

...until the next one, that is.

Yes, this is the day-3-of-kindergarten update. I promise I'm not going to do this everyday. No, you won't be reading about day 120 three months from now. I'm going to stop. I just need some time to get used to this. (That, and, it is the only thing remotely exciting going on here.)

So, day 3...

Brayden gets in the car after school and exclaims, "Mom, I've got to start riding the bus. Do you know what they called me?" Call me protective....call me aggressive....but I was ready to go kick some kindergarten butt for calling my son a name. "What did they call you, Brayden?" I asked. He says, "A car-rider!"

I can hardly contain myself. I can't imagine how terrible it must be to be called 'a car-rider.' The humor in this also helped me put into perspective my over-protective need to fight Brayden's battles for him. I mean, really.

Wednesday was our....I mean his....first full day of school. Quite honestly, I was a little lonley. Brody was home, of course, but he's not so much for conversation at this point. :-) Gotta teach that kid to talk.
I snapped a picture of Brayden before he left for school. I have a feeling these are the last of the Brayden-in-the-morning pictures. He has started running from me when he sees me grab the camera in the morning. I just love this one, though. He looks like a real school kid. I guess he is.
