Happy weekend! I am SO excited it is the weekend and we are all here together! It has been (what feels like) forever since we were just home. There has been traveling, work, more traveling, work....we got into a terrible cycle. But now it is over and we are home....at least for today. :-) Hopefully, school will slow us down a bit - and get us into a better routine.
Speaking of school, we have survived the first week! Still tweaking the ol' bedtime....Brayden out of bed at 6:20 + no nap = one very mean 5 year old. By Friday morning, we had a much better routine worked out. All in good time, I'm sure. Friday morning, the boys ended up dressed alike totally by accident. They were so cute I had to take a picture. Even Brody was wearing green - apparently Mom missed the memo....I was wearing blue.
Nan is here (and she was wearing green and kakhi too by the way). We spent Friday morning getting Brody's 6 month pictures made. Good thing - he'll be 7 months old on Sunday. :-) Nothing like waiting until the last minute. I am certain Teri captured some adorable shots. I mean, how could she not with a subject as adorable as Brody?
Lastly today, I must share some funny pictures of Brody. As I've mentioned before, he is quite the mobile child. He has certain things he will use any means possible to get to. For example, the child loves crinkly bags - we discovered this at Nan's with a bag of potato chips. He is mesmerized by the sound. He also seems to love the pool float. He will chase the thing all over the living room. So, Thursday he finally got ahold of it. You can see the result. :-)
He wasn't so fond of it, once he had it around his neck. He got mad, cried a little, I took it off, then he went after it again. What a fun game! :-)
There's the update for today. I'm sure there will be great Nan and Pap stories for later!
