So....all this talk of Brayden going to kindergarten has me thinking about all the things that are different now than they were when I went to kindergarten....
- Brayden has already asked if he can take my phone to school....in case he needs to call me. Uh, no. Sorry kiddo. You're Dad and I didn't get cell phones until we were in college. Maybe we'll talk about it when you're in 3rd grade.
- One of the school 'supplies' was a bottle of hand sanitizer. Did this stuff exist when I went to kindergarten - I don't think so. We just shared germs.
- Brayden won't get chicken pox (or at least, if he does it will be extremely mild). He's had a vaccination against it. (OK, the baby shots normally reserved for Mommy-hates-them territory are in the Mommy-thinks-it's-okay territory today.)
- I am certain he will use a computer in kindergarten. IF computers were invented, we sure didn't have 'em at my school...and if we did, they certainly wouldn't fit into your lap!
Stay tuned for more "Brayden's going to kindergarten" posts.....there are sure to be more!
