This was a first for me too. I loved it. I never understood why on Earth people would run anywhere on purpose. Now I think I understand. I feel GREAT! I woke up at 4 AM thanks to a migraine that decided to invade my brain. I was moving incredibly slowly, but knew I had to do the run because I felt like Brayden and Scott were counting on me. I took some prescription stuff for my head and off we went. And like I said, I feel great! I can hardly wait until our next 5K. (Note to self - google 5K runs in Nashville later.)
For those of you in the Nashville area, they are planning to make this a quarterly event at Riverwalk. Today's run was to benefit the Steve Thomas family. Steve was diagnosed with leukemia last fall. The planning committee hopes to find others to benefit with each event. For more information, please visit http://www.heartsontheharpeth.com/. :-)
Here are some pictures from the FINISH LINE! Grammy was sweet enough to come up and keep Brody while we ran and play photographer at the end! Scott finished before Brayden and I, but I am proud to say that Brayden and I finished in about 40 minutes!

Great Job on the 5K! I would have never thought you would have been running for fun but I'm glad to hear that you all are enjoying it as a family. Sounds great.--Dawn
I think you all ROCK! You won't ever catch me running unless I'm being chased by something big and scary...or a snake.
