Slacker blogger....random thoughts

I am a slacker blogger. So sorry. I don't know how it happens, but suddenly I discover I haven't blogged in like a week or something. Time flies when you're havin' fun. :-) Uh, ok...update.

Brayden laid out of school on Friday. (OK, so I am a slacker Momma too.) He was so tired, we were having torrential rain, and I spent 20+ minutes trying to rouse him. My traditional "Mister Brayden" song didn't wake him....the tune of "Wake Up Brayden" didn't wake him....all the lights on didn't wake him. So I gave up. Every kid should get to say home every once in a while for no good reason, right?

By the way, you can watch for my album, including the above songs and other variations of The Wiggles tunes, to be released soon. Ha, ha.

Brayden's second baseball game of the season was rained out Saturday. They haven't played yet, but they've gotten in lots of practice. When they finally get to play, they should be awesome. :-)

Brody is just Brody. He is a little adventurer. Brody is his name and climbing is his game. He takes great delight in reaching new heights. For example....climbing in the dining room chairs up to the table where he stands and claps his hands in delight. It is really quite cute. Terribly dangerous, but quite cute. His attempt a climbing the bakers rack was not near as successful. I won't divulge all the details here, but nothing was broken and the plant on the top didn't lose one speck of dirt. Ahhh....boys.
He is into EVERYTHING. I am either going to have to cut his hands off or tie down everything we own. I have found shoes in the trash can, passies in the toilet (then sanitized them, thank you), cans of veggies in my purse, DVD's in the diaper bag, and a suspicious looking fingerprint in Scott's Carmex container. Why don't you put things up where he can't reach them, you ask? Please refer to the above paragraph for your answer. Actually, things are much safer on the ground in our house. :-)

Scott has gotten the Jeep running. I haven't actually witnessed said event, but it sure does smell like the Jeep is running now. He is currently working on the brakes. That's good, I suppose....I guess he'll want it to stop once he gets it moving. I hesitate to admit it, but I am looking forward to taking a ride with the top off and my crazy hair blowing around. Back when the Jeep was functional, we used to go for rides to the Sonic for ice cream. I have actually kinda missed it.

I worked in the flower bed out front on Saturday, although the weather was miserable. It wasn't raining, but it was cloudy and cold. Of course, I worked at the hospital on Sunday....so it was sunny and 72 degrees. Coming home from the hospital was wonderful. Scott had done all the laundry, folded it, and put it away. We chatted last night and he told me all about the things he discovered about the boys. It is interesting that he notices those things that I don't, even though I am here with them all the time. I guess I am just so accustomed to their little trademarks, I don't really notice. For example....Brody is going to take his nap every single day between 10:30 and 11 o'clock. It doesn't matter where he is, he is going to sleep at that time. Scott thought he was going to manipulate this schedule. He found out otherwise yesterday. :-)

Brayden and I are still taking our morning jogs. Unless it's raining....and based on the theory that April showers bring May flowers, we ought to be blooming out the wazoo come May. I am excited about that.

I have started receiving my obsessive ebaying cookbooks in the mail. I have a couple of recipes to share. Stay tuned for those posts. These cookbooks are incredibly interesting. I am still awaiting arrival of a few more.

And now, a moment from our sponsor: I currently have NO Pampered Chef shows scheduled for April. If you'd like to host a show, feel free to contact me. :-)

I hear the little Bro stirring from his nap, which means my break is over. I'll post some pictures later....today....maybe.
