I am so proud to announce that my little Brayden is reading! We worked hard on his sight words and when he learned them all, we started practicing with his beginning reading books. Now, bedtime has added yet another step - Brayden reads a book. It is such an amazing thing to me...to watch him as he is trying to figure out new words. You can literally see his mouth try on the letters - sound it out - make the word. He's such a smart boy. I am so proud of him, I had to shout it out here! :-)
Moving on to baseball...here are some pictures from last weekend's game. Brayden had a couple of awesome hits! He also got to play on the pitchers mound for a while. He was soooo excited about that. He really wants to play on the pitchers mound. He practiced there for a while last night. Hopefully, he will get some time in on the mound this weekend. (Pray for sunshine...we've had more rainouts than games!)

On our way into the ball field, I decided I would get myself an Icee. I did this thinking that Brayden and Scott (who are usually the thieves of my drinks) would be on the ball field and I wouldn't have to share with them. Little did I know the other little beggar was laying in wait! We discovered on Sunday afternoon that Brody loves cherry Icee's! He was full of sugar and stickiness, but he was so happy!
