Friday was a day off for the big boys - Dad took the day off work and Brayden was out of school! Yay! We were going to take a little mini family vacation, but decided to stay in Nashville and do some of the things we never do here. So we loaded up in the car and headed to Opry Mills yesterday (because shopping is out of the ordinary....yea....right.) While we were there, we did some shopping and played Glo-golf. For those of you not familar with glo-golf, it is glow in the dark putt-putt. Brayden wanted to play, and I thought - we're doing something special here, why not? So yes, we played putt-putt...in the dark....in the middle of the day. Brody took a nap. :-)
Last night, we had dinner and then headed out to our outdoor fireplace. The weather here has turned fantastic.....much different from the 90+ degree heat from last weekend. The high yesterday was only 70 degrees or so. It is nice and cool at night. I just love fall weather. ANYway - we roasted some marshmallows. I added some graham cracker and chocolate to mine. :-) Brody even got in on the graham cracker action! I think he wore more of it than he swallowed. I wanted so badly to get a picture of the graham cracker face/clothing/hair, but it was too dark.
I did get a picture of Brody hanging out in his swing. This was his first time on the swingset. Brayden pushed him, and was the super big brother. I (being the nervous ninny Mama that I am), was terrified Brayden was going to push Brody so hard he went flying out of the swing, but Brayden really showed off his big brother skills and pushed Brody very gently. I *think* Brody liked it....what do you think?
