I am blessed...

I have the greatest friends on Earth. Seriously. I was practically begging last night (both here and on my facebook page) for support to get through my day today - the first day at a new job. I could not have asked for better.

Scott and Brayden rode together. Scott dropped Brayden off at school. Brayden was seriously excited about going to educare. I think he had a great time - he was listening to the weather forecast and got terribly upset at the threat of rain later this week. He said it meant they wouldn't be able to go out on the playground. Apparently Educare kids get to go on the fourth grader playground, which is understandably a huge deal for a first grader. :-)

Brody and I rode together. I took him to Dawn's Mom's. He was the most adorable! Last night, I packed him a lunch sack with some snacks (since I'm kinda controlling and potentially overbearing like that). He carried his lunch sack to the car, held it in his lap, and then carried it into Mrs. Bo's house. He looked SO big. Anyway, the short of it - He didn't even cry when I left him. Little stinker. I'm sure tomorrow will be a different story, since he will know what is coming. But maybe I'll be feeling a little more confident.

Scott sent me a very sweet text telling me to have a good day and that he loved me. It was special because he had already told me that before we left...so he was still thinking about me. He is so good to me.

Kathryn and Natascha wrapped me up in their warm and thoughtful comments to my last post. Even though I have never met these girls face to face, they are so very special to me. I am blessed to have them in my life.

I got oodles of good luck wishes on my facebook too. I mean it, I am so fortunate to have these people in my life. :-)

Thanks for thinking of me. I survived day one - only 4 more until the weekend! :-)

Right back at you, Carla! :) Maybe someday we'll get to meet in person. Until then, virtual hugs will have to do. :)

Bless your heart. It sounds very traumatic, but I'm sure you guys will do great with the transition. Hope your work day went well and you enjoy your new job!
